Introduction
By the grace of Almighty Allah, The institute of Hand Loom and Home Textile Technology, Multan (IHHTT) was established in the year 1995-96 as a joint project of Export Promotion Bureau, Government of Pakistan and All Pakistan Bed Sheets & Upholstery Manufacturers Association.

The Objective of the institute is to offer professional education in the field of textiles that will develop human resources to respond to the needs of the textile industry. The institute is Registered with Punjab Board of Technical Education and managed by an Administrator through the Chairman under the control of an independent Board of Trustees called Multan Textile Education Trust. The members of the Trust are leading industrialists, educationist (ex-officio) and Officials of Export Promotion Bureau (ex ­officio).

Apr - 1998 Land purchased measuring 3,11,000 sqft.
Dec - 1998 4th short course in Weaving & Dyeing started.
Jun - 1999 3rd Installment of Rs. 13.62 M Released.
Sep - 1999  1st 3 years DAE & 1 year certificate course started.
Sep - 2000   2nd  3 year DAE course started.
Aug - 2004  Handed over to BZU to start up the B.Sc. Textile Eng.
